Mr. Timothy Terry, April 2000

This photograph was graciously sent to me by Kim
Humberstone, whose original narrative,
describing her experience with Mr. Terry, appears elsewhere at this site.
She has recently added a follow-up report, in which she describes some postoperative
problems. One of these is clearly visible in this photograph, despite the low
resolution of the image: a large amount of retained erectile tissue around the
urethra, which obstructs the vaginal opening and prevents a downward urinary
stream. This is a problem seen in the work of many SRS surgeons, including some
of the most experienced ones. Kim also describes a problem that cannot be seen
in this photograph: hair in the vagina.
