Dr. Pichet Rodchareon, September 2001
These recent photographs were generously
provided by the patient. They were taken about six weeks after surgery, and
immediately following vaginal dilation, which may explain some of the apparent
swelling. The patient noted that the irregular scarring visible in this photo
resulted from her having accidentally torn some sutures, which then had to be
replaced. In this view with the labia closed, it is difficult to see much except
the vaginal opening.

With the labia spread, we can see the clitoris,
which according to the patient was constructed from the penile glans; Dr.
Pichet’s web site notes that he can use either the glans or corpus spongiosum to
construct the clitoris. I was unable to locate the urethral meatus in this
photo. The patient reported that she had 4 inches (10 cm) of vaginal depth, and
that her clitoris was sensate. Possibly this result will become more
aesthetically pleasing as the postoperative swelling resolves.
