Dr. Pichet Rodchareon, June 2004
These photographs were sent to me by the patient and were taken about four
weeks after surgery, so some swelling is evident and expected. A dilator is
in the vagina and the structures above probably represent the urethral meatus
and clitoris.
In this view we can appreciate the vaginal depth, which reflects the use of a
colon segment. This is a technique that Dr. Pichet uses frequently, but that I
discourage, because of potential complications. The patient writes, "My depth is
about 7 inches (17.7 cm) and I am currently dilating at 1-5/16 inches (3.3 cm)."
