Dr. Yvon Menard, August 2002
These photographs were taken about 18 months after surgery, and were
graciously sent to me by the patient. Note that the clitoris is nicely hooded,
even though the operation was performed in a single stage. The labia minora are
small, but the overall appearance is good.
With the labia spread, we can see that the urethral meatus is positioned
rather far from the vaginal opening; this has been typical of Dr. Menard’s
results. The patient writes, "The only long term complication is that the urine
stream still sprays a bit, due to a tiny flap of skin that is slightly out of
place."
This third view shows the result with a 3.8 cm (1-1/2") dilator in place.
Note that there appears to be some engorgement of the clitoris and surrounding
tissue. The patient writes, "I use only the largest (3.8 cm) Duratek dilator.
Depending on how relaxed I am, the depth varies between 6" and just a bit over
7" (15-18 cm). In this photo the dilator is at about 6". I had my first orgasm
exactly two weeks postop."
