Dr. Toby Meltzer, January 2000 / May 2000
These photographs were taken about nine months after labiaplasty, and about
13 months after vaginoplasty. The clitoris is of an appropriate size, and is
nicely hooded. The labia are distinctly defined and well positioned. The
urethral meatus is placed low, and little scarring is visible. Note that the
distance between the clitoris and the urethral meatus is longer than in the work
of many other SRS surgeons. This is characteristic of Dr. Meltzer’s technique.
With the labia spread, we can see the clitoris more clearly, and can
appreciate the infoldings of skin on the inner aspects of the labia. The patient
is orgasmic, has a vaginal depth of about 5 inches (12.5 cm), and has a vaginal
diameter of about 1-3/8 inches (3.5 cm). I think this is a very good result.

This photo shows the same patient, just before
labiaplasty. Notice how large the unhooded clitoris appears in comparison to the
photos above. The redundant skin lateral to the central structures may appear to
be excessive, but it provides the material necessary to create the labial
structures we see in the photographs above.
