Dr. William Hickerson, February 2000
Dr. William Hickerson’s name is not
well-known in the transsexual community. He is a plastic and reconstructive
surgeon, practicing in Memphis, Tennessee. This photograph was sent by a
friend, who writes: "The surgery was performed at the University of Tennessee by
Dr. Hickerson, the director of the Burn Center here in Memphis. His age is 46.
He has been in private practice locally for 15 years, and I understand he's
quite picky about whom he will do SRS on. I took these photos in June 2000,
about four months post-op. The surgery was done in February 2000, and some
swelling and redness was still apparent. The surgery looked better in person
(details like the clitoris, etc.) than the photos show." I have not attempted to
identify any structures, for reasons that are probably apparent. I think this
result speaks for itself.
