Vaginoplasty Results:
Dr. Chettawut Tulayaphanich, October 2001
These photos were kindly provided by Dr. Chettawut;
as such, they may represent an especially favorable result. The photos were
taken in June 2002, when the patient returned to Thailand for an unrelated
cosmetic procedure. Dr. Chettawut uses a penile inversion vaginoplasty technique
with a scrotal skin graft, and he creates a sensate clitoris from the glans
penis. In this example the appearance of the labia minora is quite
pleasing, even though it apparently reflects a single-stage procedure.
With the labia spread, we can more clearly see
the clitoris. The urethral meatus is positioned a bit higher than I prefer, but
otherwise this is a very good result. Dr. Chettawut notes that this patient’s
vaginal depth was 6.5 in. (16.5 cm) one year after surgery.
