Vaginoplasty Results:

I took these photographs six weeks postoperatively. This photograph is framed
more widely than usual, to show the scars from the creation of the labia majora.
These scars extend a few centimeters higher on the pubic bone than those created
by many other SRS surgeons. By aggressively removing the excess perineal skin
en bloc early in the operation, Dr. Brassard obtains as much material as
possible to use in lining the vagina.
This second view with the labia closed provides a more detailed picture. I
think the overall appearance is very pleasing.
With the labia spread, we can appreciate the
location of the clitoris, and the effective use of urethral mucosa to line the
inner labia. There is a small strand of yellowish fibrin at the vaginal
introitus, a normal result of the healing process. This is another excellent
result from Dr. Brassard.
