These photos were taken 8 months after
surgery and were kindly sent to me by the patient. I'm guessing about the
position of the clitoris: Dr. Bowers appears to bring the clitoris out through a
slit in the flap of urethral mucosa that extends upward from the urethral
meatus.
Spreading the labia produces little change in
overall appearance. The patient reported a vaginal depth of 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)
and ability to use the "second to largest stent [1-3/8 inches, 3.5 cm] with no
pain and occasional the largest stent [1-1/2 inches, 3.8 cm]." She also
reported having "a perfect urinary stream, no problems," and that she was easily
orgasmic and "very satisfied."
