These photographs were taken about 7 weeks postoperatively and were kindly sent to me by the patient. At that time she wrote, "I'm not orgasmic yet, but I'm sure I will be: I've gotten close a couple of times. My urine stream is still not consistent: Sometimes it goes straight down, other times it goes almost sideways. Depth is about 5 inches (12.5 cm) with a 1.5 inch (3.7 cm) diameter dilator."

With the labia spread, we can better appreciate the size and position of the central structures and the amount of bright red urethral mucosa that is exteriorized in Dr. Brassard’s technique.
