These photos were taken about 8 weeks after surgery and were graciously sent by the patient. In this example, as in the example from July 2004, urethral mucosa extends well above the clitoris. The patient wrote that she had some concerns about asymmetry and about urination: "The fold of tissue on my left labia seems to deflect urine to the right and spray it all over my leg and buttocks. It also seems to catch urine within it and, when I stand up, some will run out of the fold or my vaginal vestibule onto my pants or underwear."

In this close-up view, the positions of the clitoris and urethral meatus are easier to see. Vaginal depth is about 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) using a 1-3/8 inch (35 mm) dilator. Sensation is reportedly good, but at the time this report was first posted, the patient stated that she has not yet experienced an orgasm after surgery. In March 2005 she contacted me to report that she had now experienced orgasm.
